KANNAPOLIS – Parade registration is now open.
The Kannapolis Christmas Parade will be held at 6 p.m., on Dec. 13. The downtown parade route includes Laureate Way and West Avenue.
Visitors will not want to miss participating in the event. All parade entries must be lit with holiday decorations. Thousands of lights decorate each parade entry which makes it one of the holiday’s most special nighttime events in North Carolina.
Anyone who would like to participate in the parade or sponsor an award category, can visit kannapolisnc.gov/christmas-parade-application or contact Becky Tolle, btolle@kannapolisnc.gov.
The parade is sponsored by the city of Kannapolis. Cash awards will be presented in the categories of bands, churches, civic organizations, and schools.
The deadline to register is 5 p.m. on Nov. 1.
