SALISBURY — Salisbury’s girls soccer team came back from a 2-0 deficit and managed to tie Mount Pleasant 2-all on Wednesday at Ludwig Stadium.
Both Salisbury goals were scored by Addie Griffith. Gabbi Fatovic assisted on both.
Mount Pleasant has a 9-3-2 record.
The Hornets (10-3-1) came off a week layoff with some rust and got down two goals in the non-conference match, but got a critical goal in the final seconds of the first half to get back to 2-1.
Then the Hornets leveled the match early in the second half.
“We came out flat, had a letdown that compounded itself, then battled back and played with grit and heart,” Salisbury head coach Matt Parrish said. “If we ever get to the point where we can start the way we finish, we will be a dangerous team against anyone.”
